Natural Home

This is something I have always dabbled in. I have a memory when I was younger of cleaning the bath with vinegar! I have listed my alternatives down the right hand side. If I find any more they will be added over time, and please feel free to send suggestions for your own creations.

When redecorating a home always source natural materials to furnish and decorate, to reduce the number of chemicals that get released into your home.:

  • Natural paints - Auro Organic Paints are compostable.
  • Natural soft furnishings - carpets with natural latex or wool backing
  • Matresses and Sofas have to be sprayed with chemicals to make them flame retardent, But there are a number of options to choose one which will be less harmful to your body. Ikea for example use a different method and as a result have produced their whole range without the harsh chemicals.
  • Use metal, wooden or ceramic utensils in the kitchen rather than plastic.
