Vanilla Ice Cream
ingredients:
2 Vanilla Pods
500ml Double Cream
70g Sugar
3 egg Yolks
Method:
Halve the vanilla pods lengthwise, scrape
the seeds and add the PODs to the cream. Bring to the boil,
add the sugar and stir to dissolve the sugar.
In a bowl, whisk the egg yolks and strain the cream onto them,
stirring constantly.
Pour the cream into another clean bowl, through a sieve and
whisk in the seeds.
Put in the freezer until it sets. Stirring occasionally will
help to stop ice crystals forming.
